IP Changed?

My IP for my server has changed. I was on it yestoday. Then I type in my regualar ip I connect to, and it does work. Then I go to my TS server and when you click on IPS it says a whole diffrent one! And I entered that IP and it worked. But other people dont know this new ip...wtf happen?!

most probably your ISP doesn't give you a static ip (it's rather common to grant dynamic ips...)
which means that whenever you reconnect you could possibly get another ip (and normally you will).

use a service like www.no-ip.com or www.dyndns.org or whatever you like... then tell your mates that dns and you don't have to retell them your changing ips...

It could also be that your private IP (assigned by router) has changed as well and the port forwarding through your router points to the wrong computer now. Make sure you setup your router to link a permantant IP to the MAC address of your NIC card in your server. You'll have to check your router manual to determine how to do that. Look for static IP or address reservation. It's usually an "advanced setting".

If it's your Public IP (assigned my ISP) then make sure it's in the Web server list and give it a unique name to search by.
