Hey i get this error right here:
starting the teamspeak2 server
Error, Either an old instance of teamspeak is still running, or
an other application is using the tcpquery port!
Error, Server was not started!
was wondering how i shutdown that port? or disconnect it from whatever is using it. I tried restarting my box but that didn't work. Any suggestions.

The port is in use. Make sure nothing else is running on that port. Also make sure that teamspeak is cleanly shutdown. Maybe "killall server_linux" will help you. Or change the port of tcpquery in your server.ini

changing ports didn't work and killall didn't work either.

What about netstat -a?
Is something using this port?
Reboot of the server?
Firewall?

nope still nothing.
Has the user the rights to start teamspeak?
Sure nothing is listed on that port after a reboot?
netstat -a???

Hmm some firewall on this box?
Have the user the rights to start the teamspeak server?
Maybe for testing use "root". Can you start it with root?

Sorry these are my steps with I can help you:
1.Reboot
2.Control Firewall settings?
3.Permissions of the User
4.Change port in the server.ini
5.killall server_linux
6.ps aux | grep server_linux (Should be no server_linux listed in the list)
7. Test to start Teamspeak as root
I don't know any other helping ideas, sorry.

Thats ok it only say that you look for an "server_linux" with grep. The Teamspeak server isn't running.
