Teamspeak PMR 446 Radio Link

Hi,

Really nice hard work with Teamspeak!

What would be nice is to have the possibility to link a TS client with a PMR Radio 446 this way, we will have the possibility to move far from the PC.

The only thing needed to have this working is to have signal to ask the radio to go in transmit mode when some one is speaking.

I saw in the program that there is green pic to indicate that someone is speaking. The chalenge would be to port this information to a hardware output by example : RTS signal on RS232 port.

I'am ready to provide simple schematic on how to interface radio an TS client if some one could add this feature to the soft it would be really nice!

This is already possible. There are 2 German projects using this function. It's part of a tool that makes use of the Client SDK to check if somebody is talking. A serial port of your mainboard is used to trigger your vox box.

The most popular project is TS-Funk.net, the other one is named PMR Funknetzwerk.

Nice SDK and it's quite easy to control the PPT of the radio with the getspeaker function. Good!

In the other way from radio to TS :
There is the vox function on the sound card that works pretty well but I think it would be really nice to have the possibility to "push to talk" trough the SDK this way the squelch off signal from the radio will be used to ask TS to go in speak mode.

Is it planed to add this feature to the SDK ?

Guess you are not aware that Switzerland does have 4 official Languages of which only 1 is similar to German.

I have downloaded the interface software to connect to a PMR type radio, but am having some problems. I translated the instructions using babel fish but, I fail to understand how to stop the transmitter from continously transmitting. Once someone speaks the interface goes into trasmit and stays on. I'm looking for transmit when someone speaks, and stop transmitting when speech has stopped.
The audio is perfect so I am very pleased with that, just need to know how to fix the transmit problem.
