Yep, as the subject states, I'm experiencing bad sound quality (or rather, my friends are..).

When porting the mic right through to the headset/speakers; Perfect sound.

When listening to myself in Teamspeak's local test mode; Well not perfect, but damned good quality.

When listening to a file my friend recorded of me talking using Teamspeak. TERRIBLE! (I can't imagine they understand what I'm really saying..)

The codec used is Speex 25.9kbit.

I tried the project kx driver, then reverted back to the official.

Current Soundcard is an Audigy2 ZS.

As a sidenote, I experienced this on my old computer as well, both using my current Audigy2 ZS and my old SB Live!, so I can't really see the hardware as the troublemaker...

As of what might be causing this.. well, the one thing I can think of is something disturbing my transmission from here on the way to the server. Let's say.. my router?
Nothing of this really makes any sence though, lol!

Ideas, anyone? (I've run out)

I friend of mine had a related problem.

Look here:

look for 1. Way
this picture (http://teamspeak.buddha.eu.com/pic/Mixer%20Mic%20engl%20advanced.JPG)

choose advanced
check if you can choose between Mono/stereo.
The mono setting caused a sound quality that was almost similar to CELP 5 codec...

As long as you're talking about the Advanced options button seen here (http://teamspeak.buddha.eu.com/pic/Mixer%20Mic%20engl%20advanced.JPG), yes.
Though it only contains the +20dB Boost option.

Ah I see. Some soundcards donīt provide that options. But maybe thereīs an option in the systray where you can set distinctive settings for mono/stereo or equalizer function...
