My Teamspeak customers are experiencing a problem where they have users getting randomly disconnected from our server. The problem cannot be isolated as the disconnections occur randomly to different people at different times.
I have also heard that there are days when disconnections happen frequently and other days when no disconnections occur at all. Is there a way for me to work around this problem? Why doesn't the Teamspeak client reconnect automatically and what could be causing the problem?
I have read that this could be partly due to network problems but we have experienced this on servers hosted at different data centres, and even with clients who are connected within the country.

How should we help you. I think this is not a Teamspeak problem. It's a problem with the internet connection of your users or of the server.
Also you can automaticly reconnect to servers you only have to choose the option: Auto-Reconnect in your local addressbook

Ah I'll get them to use the auto-reconnect function. I didn't notice that previously but it's going to be very useful!
BTW I seriously doubt that there is a problem with the internet connection because many other applications such as game servers run OK. My impression is that the Teamspeak client or server is sensitive and disconnects people too easily. Otherwise, how can would it be possible for people to play a game of Counterstrike for hours without getting disconnected?
In the meantime, is there anything else that can be done to reduce the number of random disconnections?

Normally if the server has no problems you should be disconnected.
But you can activate the debug mode or download an older client of teamspeak. Then the client gets a longer time out time.

I'm assuming that this is a bug with Teamspeak because client disconnections are random and the same problem does not occur for typical online games. My question would be why do the Teamspeak clients disconnect from the server in the first place? People don't get randomly disconnected from SSH, FTP, or other standard services, so why this?

The latest TS 2 client is a bit sensitive to timeouts. You might check an older version of the client:

But I think the reason for the random diconnects is the server connection.
Maybe itīs unstable or the bandwidth is variable.
I'd like to add some info. to this. We have been using TS for over two years and have been extremely happy with it.
Just recently we have been experiencing the same problem, except we get mass disconnects of up to 10 people simultaneously. But usually several others stay on, at least for a minute or two.
The people that have been disconnected have auto reconnect on. But they cannot reconnect. The server is functioning because several people are using it at the same time as they are trying to reconnect. We know because we are all on-line in a game that has a chat box. Then the remaining users are all disconnected in mass and can't reconnect.
It's happened every week for about a month and a half now, always after it has been in use for 2-3 hours. I tell everyone not to bother trying to log back in for about 10 minutes, then everyone can login again.
I thought about it being the internet connect, but that can't be. Through out this problem, we are on-line in a game that has much greater bandwidth needs than Teamspeak. We have never experienced a problem in game when Teamspeak does this, we should see the pings rise in game if it was a bandwidth problem, but they don't.
What really baffles me is why can't we reconnect for 10 minutes ? The error is "Server cannot be found or is not running". They have not been kicked or anything. The server log does not show any problems and we can connect to the Server Admin through MS Explorer.
Anyone have any idea's as to whats going on ? :)
This is very strange because I have been having the same trouble with my teamspeak. We have about 60 servers setup and everything was working fine until last month. Now users are complaining about laggy performance and disconnects. I am switching hosting companies to serverbeach. I will post here if anything improves. Currently we are using Hivelocity hosting for our hosts.
