ts muted after idleing for a while

Hi. Looked through the forums, and the faq... can't find the answer. I idle on our ts forums, in my own channel frequently, and usually as away. When I come back, I can't hear anyone,no one can hear me and on when i test it, I can't hear my self either. mic is not set to mute or away. and have to shut down the program and reconnect to hear anyone.
Current system is a amd x2 4400 with win xp pro and audigy 2 zs. This has happend to me now for 2 years. different machines, different drivers.
Anyone have a clue as to why this is and a solution.

I heard of that problem that the sound settings of windows switch back t oother settings....
A sounddriver update might help.
Some app. change the soundsettings without giving remarks.(e.g. Videosoftware, Games)

thanks for the reply. Any idea how to fix it ? Sound drivers are up to date. I will be getting the new audigy and maybe the drivers for that will be better... never know...

I don't think Creative will ever understand that their hardware is top but their drivers are a flop...

Try to use the Creative AudioConsole. The software solved many problems on my system like randomly activated EAX-effects.

Yeah....know what you mean. don't understand how a company can not realize their drivers are so bad. Half the time the new drivers hose my system. I will try your suggestion.
