View Full Version : 'demo' record feature- smaller file?

In doing a 10second test of a TS recording, and coming up with 600kb, it is obvious that recording over a long period of time would take up a lot of space.
It would be nice to have a feature which enabled 'demo' recordings, such as those found in multiplayer games, which record the information of the game and can be played back through the engine. I've had a quick look around, and aren't very certain if it's available, but it'd be nice if Teamspeak included this ability.
I really can't discuss it any further, as I am program-illiterate, it's just a thought I had because I know that personally I have bugger all space on my computer, and a full .wav recording might take up a bit (not much, but will still contribute to any lag) of power.

Well... is it managable?

That's because the recording function produces wav files. They're not compressed in any way. It would be possible to use an encoder to compress the files on the fly (wma, mp3), but that would take some processing power.
