View Full Version : Server running - Can't connect - No firewall

I successfully installed TeamSpeak on a friend's linux server at a remote location and can connect fine to the Web Admin interface at port 14534. Server is running, everything looks good.

Then I load up my TeamSpeak client on my home Windows XP machine and get the standard error:
No reply from server
Maybe the server is offline
or maybe teamspeak is not running on it
I checked the Connection Test (http://ts2test.planetteamspeak.com/index.php) and it tells me what I already know - port 14534 is fine but 8767 is not.

Can someone suggest something else to try? I've searched the boards but most everyone's issue has been related to a router or firewall. A router shouldn't be the issue since I can connect to other TeamSpeak servers, and my friend says his server has no firewall.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

Not the router at your side at the server side.
Also if the test fails it says that there is a firewall blocking or a router who didn't forward the ports (server side!).

Well, I will ask my friend again if he can somehow open UDP port 8767.

Thanks!
