Hey Guys,

First post for me on here, unfortunently not a good one. I wonder if someone in the know can really help me on this. I host servers as a business, on one of my dedicated servers which I host the teamspeak servers on i've been lately having a strange bug/problem.

Bascially a handful of customers reported this to me a few nights ago. What happens is on the bigger servers which I host the 40 player ones the users are getting disconnected or kicked from the servers this is when 19/40 or more users are on the server. Handfuls of users at a time end up getting kicked/disconnected for no reason. It does not happen all the time.

I also have other dedicated servers and i have had no problem at all on them. The server is running Debian 3.1. There is no lag on the server or it is not hitting really high load averages.

Also i did restart the whole server by the ./teamspeak2-server_startscript stop and then start. this seemed to fix the problem for one night but shortly it has come again.

Any help would be appreciated!

This is going to start causing me major problems unless i sort it!

I remeber the same problem on a root machine.

I think it is no pure TS problem for as a game server on the same machine also caused laggs and disconnects and high ping.

Maybe:
the connection of the root server had an unpredictable problem

or there´s a memory issue that can be fixed (for a short period) by a restart.

But I not a Linux pro, so another expert should give suggestions to this issue.

Hi Timeless,

Thanks for your comments. Although about 5 players did get disconnected the other night on a server that i host i have had no other reports of this.

Lets hope it was a small bug and a restart was all that was needed.

I am surprised a developer hasn't replied to my post though

Cheers

Daniel
