I dont know, i herd from my friend about Teamspeak 3, that it would be coming out next year or this year, i dont know.

Well if they are, it would be MEGA cool, to have a better chat thing, insead of like having to right click and hit text message or what ever, it would be awesome to have a chat at the bottom

also maybe a web browser

I get on occasionally to see when TS3 will be out. The TS devs have been sitting on it for about 2 or 3 years now. The main things we want are better codecs to keep the Ventrilo people happy, and role based security groups so we can just have 1 or 2 SA's, and still allow others to have kicking & dragging ability. I'm all about Ventrilo at this point, but they seem to have "kid in his mom's basement" syndrome as they do not post their address or any contact info other than an email they never respond to.

That's where I give points to TS -- very promp responses to sales questions. And, well, at least they don't appear to be a "kid in his mom's basement." :p

Its spoiled brats like yourself that think the world owes them a living that need a attitude ajustment Imo :mad: . Whats your claim to fame "TeamSpeaker" You sure as hell don't speak for me. Show me your *freeware programs* that thousands use. TeamSpeak Developers owe you nothing. Your attitude deserves ZERO from them. Your words of abuse is a waste of bandwidth and show you to be someone who deserves nothing but a kick in the ass and shown the exit door. :mad:

BUT, why do they say they work on TS3 for 3 years now? Why do they have a TS3 wishlist..?
Why dont they post any screenshots? Why no beta ?

We dont hear anything at all from the devs.

Offcourse they made a good program, but it is NOT free, hosts have to pay for it. So they do make money out of it.
Any host that has issues with a bug had a problem, because it is not updated anymore.

Why nog updates, why still links in the program from 2002 to the old website?

I think they should be honest andd say they dont work on a third version of TS or they should atleast give us some answers!

I don't see a feature list, at least the coder should know what are they working at.
The nonsense in the dev blog is the same talk, like someone trys to sell you a vacuum cleaner on your housedoor.

TeamSpeak 3 is beeing programmed by only 3 (!) people. Those 3 people are spending their free time in developing the software. Imagine they would write a feature list and realize that half of the planned features are to complicated to integrate into the initial release.

What would you say then? I'm sure you would be very disappointed. So they decided to give only as much information as needed to keep the community happy and waiting.

I agree in full with the complaints about TS3.

I havent been to this site for about a year and came today becuase I wanted to know if TS3 had ever been released and low and behold it hasnt.

I agree that the developers owe the users nothing, however it wouldnt surprise me in the slightest if TS3 doesnt even exist at all. It could just be a ploy to encourage people to keep using TS2.

I also think that even if there are only 3 developers it doesnt take 2-3 years to develop a program such as TS.

I write plenty of my own freeware PHP scripts before you start that crap with me, and I could have written the bible in 2-3 years.

Just seems slack after all the money they must have made from TS.

Glad to see your "projected" release is coming (hoefully) in the near future.

Now I can sit and wait patiently for the beta test phase to open (though, I'll take an alpha invite too, however, my server is semi-private, with only about 20 users, so I'm not likely your target).

PHP is a scripting language. C++ is not. You can't simply compare a PHP script with a real program. What you do is scripting. What they do is programming.

How much money they made and how much money they spent is something only TeamSpeak Systems / Triton knows for sure. I guess the reason for the 2 companies existance is not that they wanted to make a lot of money but that they were forced by law to found them.

In the beginnings of TeamSpeak, there was no company at all.

The post you are refering to is from January 2006. I was no member of the support team when I wrote that.
