Realtek ALC861 mic problem

problem w/ TS and the mic on Realtek ALC861 sound card ( on mobo P4GD1 ) :

TS doesnt recognize sound or event from my mic ... wave and dsound both aren't work ...anyone have the same issue ? when i unmute my mic in control panel, i heard myself, so, the mic is ok ...

i hear myself but others can hear me too so just turn the volume down on the mic and move it closer to you

- have you tested all input devices under optiosn - sound devices ?
- updated drivers and directX ?

You might buy a cheap REAL sound chard, onbaord sound solutions are known to cause problems

I just recently ran into this problem and in the end I had to go into my volume controls menu and select RECORDING controls. Somehow mine had been switched from MIC to MIDI. Put it back on MIC and you should be working as advertised. If you have any more questions as to how to do this PM me or send me an e-mail (tekwarrior111******.com)
