My Battlefield 2 gaming clan, [TFD], has been using Teamspeak for a long time.. we really like it. But, we have recently merged with another clan and doubled our size. The clan we merged with wants to use Ventrilo. I know Teamspeak is WAY better then Ventrilo, but I dont know how to convince my clan. Im afraid if I dont convince them soon, the clan will split apart.

well teamspeak has IM the also have easy server manager and if you would like i can get you a free teamspeak server so you dont split if you merg with my clan or if not i can give you 1 free teamspeak server :)

Public version.

The Public version of the server is hard coded to 8 slots per instance, one instance per machine and port 3784.

MaxClients=8
This option is not available on Public versions of the server. It is hard coded to a maximum of 8 simultaneous clients (also called slots). If you need more then 8 slots then you will need to rent a server from a licensed professional hosting company.

yeah, that 2.1.4 is free and not bound to 8 slots.

The Version 2.1.4 is from 2003-12-23 (latest one 2.3.0 is from 2005-07-18)..

I'll admit I have run a Ventrilo server is the past (and even RW server), but there is nothing like TeamSpeak. TeamSpeak is superior in every aspect, from scalability and beyond, shall I go on?

But of course, we all have different needs, and we don't all think a like.. (and thats good)..

ok I am new to team speak...and I like it, however when i used ventrillo, my voice and the voices i heard did not sound robotic...but since i made the switch both me and my brother sound like robots to each other


how do we stop this from happening

Maybe you should read the manual and select a higher codec for the channel your are in. (This needs ChannelAdmin right or higher.)
