View Full Version : Sound Problems
Me and several other peolple have a ts server set up and working and use it daily for comms during gaming, however we recently had a new guy try to use our ts and he sounds like he is speaking while his head and mic are submerged in a goldfish bowl... we have tried everything we could think of / find including using different codecs etc... he can hear us perfectly but when he speaks something goes majorly wrong.
any help would be apprecicated
- low process priority (press: CTRL + ALT + DEL -> processes -> search for TSclient.exe and set it to priority "high"
Maybe this will fix your problem
After being a previous user of TS with no problems on a Pentium 4 3.2 Ghz I recently had a nightmare since i went AMD64.
The sound would stutter when i talked ( according to the others in my channel) but I could hear them fine. The mic would record clear and satbles as a bell in other apps. Same deal on Top of the line gear DFi LanpArty NForce 4 Ultra-D onboard sound and the Audigy 2 and Audigy 4. SOme people reckoned 450watts wasnt enough for Dfilanparty, i got a Coolermaster 520w psu. Same deal.
It seems that AMD doesnt multitask as well as Pentium to me, particularly if you are in a 3 D Game that chews up processing.
The above was a simple fix to an absolute nightmare for me.
LOL! I'll post this a third time in one hour. To make this permanent goto your options in Teamspeak and set the Proccess Priority option to "high".
