friend gave me his teamspeak but i don't know how to log in

my friend is off to collage and he wont be using his server for a while so he gave it to me
he left me his login and password

what is the url to the login page for his server?

i hear it would be http:/IP HERE:14534/

but when i go to that it gives me an error and says that is not a working site

what am i doing wrong :(

My goodness, gracious me.....:rolleyes:

"IP HERE" stands for the address to the server and has to be replaced by the TRUE server address. However no one in this forum will be able to tell you this address since each server is controlled by the person who setup the server => this will be your friend, only he knows under which address his server runs.

Ask your friend to explain you the administration a little bit before you try yourself. You seem to miss very importan basic knowledge.

but for some reason that wont work :/

the full ip to the server is 72.36.135.154:8888
but when i go to http://72.36.135.154:14534/ i get an error :/ what am i doing wrong?

Hmm.... The first one works. Are you sure that it isn't your's? If not, then make sure that you have the port: TCP 14534 open.

I allowed myself to "scann" this port: it seems to be closed

=>

1) your friend didn't forwarded the webinterface service
2) he did it but no correct
3) the webinterface service does not run on the default port => your friend changed it

I guess without asking him, you won't solve this problem

Are you trying to pull our collective legs here? 14534 IS the standard port for the web interface. If your friend changed it he should've told you.

pls, make yourself familar with IP addresses and ports e.g. by reading some articles (wikipedia,....). You really do not understand the basics. You can't explain someone how to drive a bus when that person does not even know what a simple car is nor how to drive it.
What yu posted above is an IP address (72.36.135.154) and what follows with an ":" is the port declaration. ut there is no default port "XXXXX", that has to be a number. We've posted that number, the default port, MANY times above => 14534

Also make sure that it might be that your friend did forget to forward / open that port in his router, access device. In this case you can't do ANYTHING !
However if he configured web interface access correct and simply changed the port, go ask him.
