Hello,

I have browsed through the forums and found several other seg fault posts. It did not lead to fixing my current problem. I have it running on a Fedora Core 2 box and right after the install, I get the following error while trying to launch the server:

----------------------------------

[ts2@xxxxx tss2_rc2]$ ./teamspeak2-server_startscript start
starting the teamspeak2 server
Runtime error 0 at BFFFF998
./teamspeak2-server_startscript: line 92: 23656 Segmentation fault ./server_linux -PID=tsserver2.pid

[ts2@xxxxx tss2_rc2]$ ./server_linux
Runtime error 0 at BFFFF9A8
Segmentation fault

----------------------------------

Has anyone else seen this? TIA.

It's not the same error message, but you could try this one:

I believe that is specifically for Suse. I combed through google hits and couldn't find anything specific to Fedora Core 2.

I read and tried those already. Running 'setarch i686 -L sudo -u ts2 ~ts2/tss2_rc2/teamspeak2-server_startscript start' generated no response and the server did not run.

Executing 'echo 1 > /proc/sys/vm/legacy_va_layout' produces
'-bash: /proc/sys/vm/legacy_va_layout: No such file or directory'

I'm not too familiar with the proc system. Since the file isn't there, there must be a dependency that I would need to install.

Here is the Core 2 version I am using.

2.6.8-022stab056.1-enterprise

I have used teamspeak on other servers from this provider, granted that they were probably running on an older core2 kernel, and this is the first time I have encountered an issue.

TIA for everyone's help.
