cosmicstorm again, im haven trouble connecting to a server i know is correct. i dont have a firewall or any other prgm i know of that would conflict with connecting to groups server. is there a bug with xp im over looking ? ive read postings an forum till i can recite it in my sleep, dont mean to be rude but where can i get a human answer other than look for it in pages, my problem is individual not as a whole , any reply for this will be appreciated ive reinstalled 6 times this is frustrating to no end. sorry if i appear like an idiot but im not a pc wiz and had 2 others help from off line still no resolve to error on connecting thank you have a nice day.:mad: :cool:

This may sound stupid but you claim your not very good with computers so...

click on start->run type cmd click ok
A dos like box opens...
at the cmd prompt type "ping www.microsoft.com" without quotes. This will prove your connected to the internet.

Can you ping the server your trying to connect to?
Can you connect to other voice servers?

Windows XP installs its own firewall if you use the wizard to configure a network card... I don't know if this is your problem and I didn't use the XP firewall so I don't know how to configure it.
