Hey, I have a big noob question about servers. I tried finding an answer in the FAQ and manual before posting here, but with no success. so, here goes:

How/can I create a server so I can talk to muh homies while we play games? I right-clicked in the "connect" window and created one, but the only problem is that I had to put in an IP and stuff. I don't know a thing about any of that type of stuff, hehe. So where can get an IP adress for a server, or can I even get a server in this way? I dunno, i'm all confused

Sorry for the huge noob question, I just didn't know where else to turn.

Setting up a succesfull teamspeak server will require a lot more knowledge.
First off I think you are trying to create a server using the client which you can't do. Download the teamspeak server application at http://www.goteamspeak.com/index.php?page=downloads
Also try finding out if you have a router (you will also need high speed internet to host a teamspeak server) and what WAN and LAN IP's are and what Port Forwarding is.
In your case I would suggest renting a server from the authorized server list at

we've a lot of information available in this FAQ section (e.g. a beginners thread):
http://forum.goteamspeak.com/forumdisplay.php?f=41

Anyway, I do a greee with veggii, running a server requires knowledge which you seem to miss. So you probably want to go for a rented server: no problems with the setup, no bandwidth problem, usually more stable,....
I can not recommend running a server if you do not know anything about IP's,... that's the lowest basic you should know.
