I use a Sennheiser PC160 and it's plugged into the front panel of the X-Fi (headphone jack into the headphone jack and the mic jack into the Line-in 2/mic-in 2 jack).
I can hear sounds and other just fine and I can hear myself speaking (so the mic is just fine) but nobody else can.
When I run the troubleshooter, it appears that the "mic" keeps getting switched on by deafult (maybe by teamspeak) when I'm actually using the line-in 2/mic-in 2 channel. Once I switch the checkbox back to the right one, I can hear myself again in the troubleshooter.
Does Teamspeak by default look for the "mic" channel and/or is there a way to get it to stay where I have it so that it will work.
I've tried everything I know.
My old USB headset works fine. And by "works" I mean I *can* use it but it sounds lousy compared the the Sennheiser. I really want to use the good headset.
