Is it possible for Teamspeak to have the facility to be controllled externally by a 3rd party application like a game.

We use TS with our 64 player ranked BF2 server & its far superior to the ingame VOIP

However theres no interaction between the game and TS, we have to use the VOIP to talk with players on the game server !

Would it be possible to setup the ability for a game such as BF3 (Battlefield 3) when it comes out to control Teamspeak externally ie.

So the game can :

Connect a player joining a games server to a specific TS server (if they have the TS3 client installed) ?
Connect them to a specific channel ?
Make certain players whisper to others e.g : If in the same squad, same vehicle, in proximity
Make Certain players whisper to a specific Group e.g their team ?
Also have a generic HUD which displays whose talking ingame ?

If something was drafted and posted to games developers they may decide to incorporate these features into future games ?

As long as a TS3 server was configured with 1 Registered Games channel ? and used the "usergroups" feature all ready mentioned in development for TS3 could this work ?

Hey all, this is my first post *shakes fist*.
OK, from my understanding the game would have to be built around teamspeak, not the other way around.
Although currently I am trying to mod Freelancer to allow teamspeak to be part of the game engine and alow system wide chat, and group chat, its tricky lol and going not to bad, ish.

"Make certain players whisper to others e.g : If in the same squad, same vehicle, in proximity"
you may be happy to know that there are a few upcoming releases that are looking to incorporate Real Speach Technology into their games, enabling you to talk in a more 3d realistic sound environment.

Oh and as for battlefield 3, you may wish to have a look at this link. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ykSinwH4o3w&search=battlefield

Anyway guys, pz.

This would be great....I'm actually looking for such an SDK so we can create decent ingame voip functionallity in a game my company is currently developing.
This way we could create some nice ingame voip functionallity instead of re-inventing it and end up with a very basic voip function like most games have now (which only very few people use because they mostly don't know of teamspeak or similar software).
