Okay, I have used TEAMSPEAK for a long LONG time, but I decided to switch all my clients to VENTRILO because of the voice quality.

All was well but I missed teamspeak, so we went back and...HOLY GOD! The voice quality (highest Speex) SUCKS! Ventrilo definatly owns the voice quality.

I am dying for a TEAMSPEAK release that will add better quality to my teamspeak server!

It really depends on the quality of the mic. I have run teamspeak and vent side by side and teamspeak generally sounds better.

We (the people who frequent my servers) all have good mics, mostly Logitech Gaming Headsets, and we ALL agree we sounded 10x better on Ventrilo even though my Ventrilo server ran rather low codecs.
