Ive had Teamspeak for a longtime. Last time I used it was in July of 05 and just started using it again for a game. Since trying to run itI can no longer connect to servers. I get Error message

"No Reply from server Maybe The server is offline or maybe teamspeak is not running on it"

I know the server is up and running and All the IP's and Ports are correct. I am not running a firewall or any software that would prevent me from connecting to server. In an effort to correct this I have tried to uninstall Teamspeak. The program is removed and the folder is deleted from C:\Program Files\Teamspeak2_RC2. When uninstalling it says all related files are removed. However!

When I reinstall the program (even redownloading the Install Prog) All my servers IP's Passwords and Everything show backup automaticly. And I still have the Same problem/Error when trying to connect. And unless I can completely remove the program I do not think I will be able to get it to run. I do not want to reformat my entire PC, just to remove a nonworking Program. I am running Wind Xp

Well, that didn't fix anything. I did find that file and removed it. I also went into my registry and removed anything I could find with teamspeak. Someone told me that Windows XP with SP2 could be causing some problems. If anyone else has any suggestions on what I can do to get it working please let me know.

Thanks in advance.

As far as XP SP2 is concerned, I think that has about as much to do with your problem as the current phase of the moon. If people don't know what to say, they tend to blame it on SP2 just because the very first version of SP2 did have some minor problems and for some reason, everyone was afraid to update for at least half a year.... but anyway, ranting about this topic doesn't solve your problem.

So. if you know that the server is up and you are not using a firewall.... can you ping that server (just the ip, not the ip:port). And if no, can anyone else ping it? (using the ping command on the command prompt)
If you can't ping it, can you "tracert" it?

...and if nothing works, are you sure that you've the correct IP and the correct port? Is the server running an outdated version of TS. Is your client outdated? (yes i've read your post where you state that you've re-downloaded it). Did something in your environment change (ie you are in a network that does have an additional firewall which you can't controll)
Are you sure that there are no viruses or spyware/adware on your computer which might interfere with internet-communication?

One of the first things a friend had me do was ping the IP and it did that just fine. I haven't done any hardware changes to my system since I last ran Teamspeak other than changing out a video card.

The server is the latest host and I am using the latest client software. I did go in and configure my router to allow the ports it said in the FAQ. Even though this wasn't a problem the last time I used the program. I really wish I could do a fresh install on the program but when I do remove the program and clean up the registry and locate / remove some of the files others have suggested the same server list is there with all of the same settings. I am really at a loss for what to do because the first time I used the prgram over a year ago everything went very smooth.

and you are sure that you've deleted the teamspeak config file which is located in "documents and settings" "username" "applicationdata" "teamspeakxxx" before you tried a reinstall?

EDIT: Don't add any rules forwarding rules unless you are actually hosting a server. You don't need them and adding rules just adds to the risk of messing things up.
Also make sure that any firewall you might have had installed has been uninstalled completely. Some firewalls do leave operational parts in your system even after uninstalling them and this will basicly result in your system still being firewalled with the last settings that were in use. The nasty thing is that you won't have any interface to those parts of the firewall anymore and therefor won't be able to change the settings either.
Make sure that you don't have any of those firewall-services still active (the one used by ZoneAlarm is called TrueVector). If you find things along that line on your system. Re-Install the firewall and then make sure to uninstall it again in a propper way (ie. by first setting the firewall to allow all or if you know what you are doing, by removing any part of the firewall that doesn't get removed by uninstall)
