View Full Version : Cannot connect to my own server

Hello everyone Ive read and read and read and cant get anywhere. Ok I read all FAQ and all the manual but i cant get any login to my server at all. Ok im connected to a router that goes to internet obviously. So i use the ISP extrenal IP i knwo that. Here are my specs.

WinXP Pro w/SP2
DI-624 d-link router


My problem is i cant even connect to my server at all even throgh quick connect with just IP and nicknam, I have the ports forwarded as though i beleive. picture shows my ports forward..

Can anyone help me please!! Ask questions if it will help im reallying needing the help right now.

Loopback connections through the router are not supported by most routers. Use the LAN IP address.

ok ya i know that if i use the LAN ip ill be able to connect to my server but what IP do i give to other people? so they can connect also. Like i said i forwarded ports in the screenshot above. Can you check if those are right, like tht TCP and UDP things also? and the LAN ip is my static IP address right? like 192.168.1.100 something like that?I mean iv done this before like about a year ago and i had no troubles but then i got this new router and never messed with TS until lately so im pretty confused.
