Ok this is starting to piss me off. I've seen some posts about this problem before and I've looked in many places for a solution but I can't find one anywhere.

The Problem:

I have used TS2 for a while now without many problems. Lately I've run into the problem where my computer no longer recognizes my microphone. I have looked into all of the settings there are within windows and within teamspeak for audio and haven't found a solution.

I've had this problem before and it has fixed itself... somehow. Once I had the problem started talking to friends on TS through text messages, with my mic muted. Then I unmuted my mic and my mic worked. It didn't work before I muted the mic. This time I tried that but it didn't work.

I think the problem has to do with me re-installing BF2 recently. TS was installed and I had to uninstall and re-install BF2. Before I did that my mic worked; after it didn't work. Would the built-in VOIP in BF2 somehow take over the audio port that TS uses on my sound card?

- So freaking confused

ps: I run a Creative Audigy 2 ZS. Many problems like mine seem to be associated with this card. >:(

Yes, it would. If you don't want to disable BF2's VoIP the easiest way is getting a second sound card.

Some sound cards with some drivers in combination with certain VoIP programs don't mind sharing microphone and speakers/headphones. For example on my system I can use Teamspeak and Skype simultaneously on my Terratec DMX 1024. My brother who has the same sound card, but a different mainboard and Windows 2000 instead of Windows XP can't.
