Taking Server from one PC to another

Is there anything special that needs to be done to do this? I did a simple copying of the TS server folder and moved it to another PC but it did not function correctly. Must I re-download and install an all new server on this newer PC now?

server.log, server.ini and server.dbs should be copied over to a new installation of the server and it should work. I'd install the server on the new PC in any case and afterwards copy the files over
