I've got a server running, and we are trying to implement moderated channels, but I want the registered users to be able to have voice access without requesting it.

I've gone into the web admin pages, and set the AccessVoice flag for registered users, but they sill can't talk in a moderated channel unless an Admin gives the voice access

Is this correct ??? If so - what is the AccessVoice permission in the web admin page for ?

What I am trying to achieve is unreg users should have to request voice - but reg users automatically have voice rights. I really really don't want to have to contact each and every registered user and grant them auto voice ..... and I thought that the AccessVoice permission in the web admin page under registered users would do this for me.

Any advise ?

Cheers in advance

1) your server came with a server manual and that one includes a description of the rights... you could read it ;)

2) If I'm not totaly mistaken: you would not create moderated channels but normale channels. Now do not give voice per default to unregistered users. Registered users should have voice per default in normal channels.

Well I read the manual ..... didn't tell me anything I already knew. As for your advise - I can't see any option on the admin web page for denying anonymous users Access To Voice. Registered users do have an AccessVoice permission, and that is checked - although it doesn't seems to make a single bit of difference of th channel is moderated.

Anymore ideas ?
