Hey..
Was thinking today...when someone join and leaves our TS, we need to ALT+TAB out of
World Of Warcraft to see who is joining and leaving server and channel..

I came up with an idea for a TS-WOW addon which goes as follow...

The base principle would be to grab info out of the TS log-file and phaste it into a desired
predefined or freely choose'able WoW chat-channel which players can join.

What I think would be needed:

1. A Webpost scrip posting joins and leaves, and changes of channels by what players to an XML file dynamically.

2. An addon for WoW which pulls out info from the XML-file, and posts it to a channel.

3. The addon would also, if the gui was opened, show a list of current offline, and online TS
users. Or more better yet, it would be sort of an "ingame"-skin of TS, where you could do all
the funcions of a normal client, in a WoW gui...move players, create channels, edit
channels...such things....

4. The addon would have an option to maybe connect to an external TS server using an IP,
since many clans/guilds have leased servers.

So...the basic prinsiple would be something like....say "Jimmy" joins a TS channel on a TS
server, then everyone running the WoW addon would first and foremost get a
message "Jimmy has joined 'Guildname TS server" or "Jimmy has left 'Guildname TS server'"
A message like "Jimmy has moved to channel XXX" or "Jimmy was moved to channel XXX by
user XXX". Messages for KICK and BAN would also be nice.

I dont know ANYTHING about programming and scripting, but I would be more than willing to
do beta testing of such an addon.

this is kind of an alternate solution, but maybe it will resolve your "issue".

A friend of mine introduced me to this, and I havnt gone back, but check it out. If you run windowed mode "maximized" (a menu option available when you select windowed) in WoW, it looks EXACTLY the same, and on modern video cards it results in about a ~5fps drop, if that, and its great. The advantage of this, is you can ALT+TAB, and switch between programs seemlessly, so you can switch to teamspeak listing instantly (well as fast as your computer can, really). I havnt played full-screen since...

Hopefully this helps.

that is the exact terrible solution I wanna avoid...who plays 3D games on 2D screens these days?.....
And..its not an issue, its a request for some help to make an addon that I know would make many guilds very happy.

I am after an addon, to be able to NOT have to ALT-TAB to see TS...
And, then I offcourse mean in fullscreen...

It is virtually impossible to play WoW decently in a window mode..

Its like playing UT2004 in a window..

Its just not gonna happen....

Sorry...

yeah..but as far as I can understand, you can only use the TEamspeakViewer if the TS-server is paid and hosted by that service provider....

Which is no good either since I am the one hosting the TS-server... :-/

But thnx for the suggestion..
