View Full Version : Voice volume problem...
When i chat in my TS server, they cant hear me talk unless i push the mic all the way against my mouth, and even then they can barely hear me...is it an output setting or something? Or is there a way i can turn the mic sensitivity up? It has to be a TS setting problem because on ventrilo they hear me fine.
You need to turn mic boost on.
Click "Start" (Bottom left of your screen) -> "Control Panel" -> "Sound, Speech and Audio Devices" -> "Sound and Audio Devices" -> "Voice" tab -> Click "volume" under voice recording -> "Options" -> "advanced controls" ->Click "Advanced" under Microphone -> Check the box next to "1 Mic Boost"

Are you using a legit version of windows xp sp2?
yeah, kinda like veggi said, this is how i fixed my exact problem like that...
uh, on the bottum right by the clock ull se a little icon looks like a speaker...double clikc that, then go to options and properties, then choose ur correct mixer device (personaly i dont know how to tell wich one ur mic is working off of if you get a list lots of different mixer devices), well...after youv choosen the right mixer device click the box by the microphone...then push ok, and now ull have the microphone on the list...if its muted unmute it, and go to advanced options and from there u can put on your mic boost...oh and my friends comp, u have to push "show advanced options" or someting like thta in the options tab. so watch out for that...well hope that helped if u still needed help :-S
