Just wanted to throw this out there for Devs or anyone else to chew on.

Specs:
O/S: WIN2K Server
TS Server: 2.0.18.31
LAN running three terminals behind a LinkSys router.

Previous to this experiment all users including myself had zero problems connecting and using the TS server.

I was looking into how to run my TS server on a machine even if no one was logged on. Went to task scheduler and set it for the server_windows.exe to run "When my computer starts".

Task executes and I see the icon in my tray. Client(different machine on LAN) connects just fine.

Here is the clincher: No one outside the router can connect. The tray icon has the "Administration" selection inactive.

Once the task is ended and removed and the tray icon told to exit, my client drops. Once I restart it using the .exe only everything works as it should.

This was occuring with the TS server software I was using prior to this version. Don't recall the version number but pretty sure it wasn't 2.0.25.25. Even though the notice about the timebomb in the server software didn't list my version I thought it had still expired and thats when I went to the version currently in use. Seems to be in both.

Again not a complaint or request. Just a notice. Apologies if I'm in wrong forum for this.

use one of the programs out there like firedaemon to make it a service and it will work as you intend, its atleast a work around and the prefered method to do what you want
