Recommend Hosting Companies Pls

Two questions:
Q1: I'm sure it's been asked and answered many times, but my "search" doesn't bring up an answer. Can some of you recommend a good hosting company at a reasonable price? "Reasonable" being open to interpretation, I'd prefer one that does not charge more than $15/mo for 50 slots, and one that gives prompt, efficient service if I run into a problem. I do not want to set up my own server.
Q2: How concerned should I be regarding where the server is located? I will have users across the US, some from Canada, one from the Caribbean, and possibly one or two from England.

Any help is truly appreciated.

1) I can't recommedn one

2) The geografic situation mst not match the connection quality to a server. theoretically you could connect a server which is standing 2m away from your PC and the traffic still has to go around the whole world.
=> I'd still look for a hoster within the USA (server location) as most people seem to come from there. But there's no guarantee that all users will have no problem at all times.
