Hi, I just downloaded teamspeak client and server so that I could chat online with my mother in the UK, I am in australia. I have installed the server software and set that up and am able to connect to my own server with no problems at all. However, my mother cannot connect to the server. I have had other friends connect with no problems within australia so I can only assume that the problem is something to do with either my mother being overseas, or that she has some sort of firewal, however MSN chat works with no issues (but I dont like msn and would prefer not to use it). If anybody could provide some suggestions as to what I might be able to do to get this working I would very much appreciate it.

Thanks.

I would suggest skype. It is much easier for 1-1 voice chatting and would probably be a lot easier for your mum.

Try setting up one for Ventrilo. Good quality, but a tad better with connecting, I don't know why. I hope that's the problem they fix in TeamSpeak 3.0. :)

Other than that, use A.I.M. or M.S.N. Xfire is good, too. Picks up everything that goes on in your and other person's room. Xfire is really good.

(Still, overall, TeamSpeak is better. More options and organized features)
