A few times a day while im using TS, all of a sudden whenever I press my talk button all everyone heres in my channel is static. And it doesnt go away until I close TS and reconnect, whcih is a real hassle if I'm in-game. I searched the faqs but couldn't find anything. Anyone know what the problem is?

is this a regular problem you can reproduce ? I'd assume a driver problem => update sound and directX drivers.

do you use a onboard sound chip ? If you have the chance to test a real sound card, I'd give that a try.

It is a problem that happens fequently, but I think its more of a problem with TS rather than my driver because I've used ventrilo a lot in the past and have never had a problem like this.
But I'll go ahead and give updating my drivers a try anyways.

I've figured out that it only happens if I talk while loading a server/area ingame. And then all anyone hears when I talk is static. I've gotten on ventrilo at the same time and it works fine, so I know its something wrong with TS.

it turns to normal after the map is loaded ?
IS your PC too slow => TS gets too few CPU time ? => set TS to high process prio (setting in the TS options)

Di you tested wave or direct sound in TS ?
