Reinstall DirectX if you can. I installed DirectX went on with my business. Tried the next day it didnt work. I still got adress errors. Reinstalled DirectX and my TeamSpeak works to this day.

Got an interesting one yesterday. I have the client installed at work, but no mic, so I can listen to my teammates play while I'm working late. (Much better than listening to the radio!)

I was checking on the team's server status and TS kept UE'ing when I started it. I happened to be running Borland Builder (C++) 5 in the back, as I'd been working on an app. On a hunch, I shut down Builder, started TS, and it fired right up. So I'm thinking that something about Borland's exception system, coupled with a running debugger, is interacting in an unpleasant way.

BTW, leave the symbols in the beta builds and those of us with the right tools can give you symbolic stack dumps under these circumstances!

I'm having the same problem with W2K Pro.

Running TS Client v1.5.0.6

I've re-installed DirectX 8.1 four times tonight (with the appropriate reboots) and I still get the same errors.

I also tried re-loading TS client. No luck there either.

We were having this problem but I downgraded the server (Linux) from 1.2.2 to 1.2.0 and the problems went away. So maybe this isn't even a Windows client issue.

I've reinstalled both the TS Client and DirectX 8.1 multiple times now in various sequences and quantities (like install DX, the TSC, then DX again or TSC, then DX, then DX again) and I always get the same results -

Access Violation @ addr: 00494AD5 in module teamspeak.exe - Read of address 00000000

All of these while I was just trying to do a loopback test. This shouldn't be rocket science.

At this point the devs are hard at work on a brand new code base for TS2. Rather than try to put a lot of work into hunting this down, I think their time would be better invested in getting 2.0 finished, and then we can start hammering on its bugs. :D

I'm not trying to trivialize the issue. I just know how easy it can be to get distracted when coding and I want to keep them focused on what promises to be a product that's a whole order of magnitude better than the current version.

I had this same error, switch to use directsound & pick your soundcard from the list, it seems to solve the problem.

MYstIC G - Thank You!

That resolved the problem.
