I'm not overly knowledgeable but any chance you're not using the correct password?
what do u take me for a fool?
of course the pass is right

Rider,
I doubt very much French Fries is taking you for a fool at all.
You'd may amazed at the number of times, even for a professional in the business where sometimes all the issue can be is that there was infact a password issue.
The password issue can be because of a number of reasons..
* Incorrectly typed password
* Bad "key(s)" on the keyboard, thus not all characters type
* Uppercase (CAPS LOCK) is on without the knowledge of the user typing. (Providing the password is lowercase - or visa versa)
* Password was infact changed either by "you" or "someone else"
Now onto your issue again, I'll try to find out a few other bits of information, for the users of this forum to assist your problem.
When accessing the TS Server, are you using the server password to access the server?
Do you have a registered account on the server? Providing the administrator requires Regisitered users?
If both of the above are used, have your administrator confirm the passwords, and if need be, re-create your Registered Account.
Also, a message in the TS Client window (bottem of TS Client) gives a somewhat description of an error - You have not included this in your message, I would therefore attempt a reconnection to the TS Server and post the message in this thread.
Failing that, you can turn on debug logging (check your options) and the TS Client Log file will produce something which can be posted here.
im a registrated admin in that server and tryed to re register in it.
the server is registered
i have also tryed to get in as anonymous with out luck.
ok the error msg is this "no replay from server maybe server is offline or maybe teamspeak is not running on it.
as i said the server is up and running TS2 and working!!
now about the TS log here it is:
18-01-03 23:20:03,168,WARNING,All,procedure TDICallBack.execute,"The operation had no effect." or "The device buffer overflowed and some input was lost." or "The device exists but is not currently attached." or "The change in device properties had no effect."
if u have any ideas i would apreacheat it.

Could you post the following info on the basis of your last post...
TS Client Version?
TS Server Version?
Port Configured on the Server?
Port Connection you are trying to connect to (on that IP)?
Provide the IP:Port and I can attempt to connect to the server.
Perhaps you may want to run a traceroute to the IP Address. There could possibly be an issue with routing to the Server (unless it's on your local LAN)
ok ill give u what i know and the rest ill try to get the host of the server in here to add any info i cant tell u.
client vr. (myn) - 2.0.26.27
server vr. (host) 2.0.18.31
server ip is 195.74.118.35
as to all the ports im not sure i know what u are talking about.
u should be able to log in that server as anonymous
as to tracerout i have no idea what u are talking about.
u can try to simpfy or ill try to get the hos down here and comment himself.
thank u for ur time.

Bascially program that use the Internet will use a PORT, as well as an Internet IP Address.
This allows more than 1 program to then access the Internet at any given time.
i.e for Accessing Web pages, the usual (Basic, without Authentication) port is Port # 80 (TCP), e-mail is Port 25 (TCP)
I won't go in depth in the explanation, as I'm hopless in trying to give out instructions.
TeamSpeak has a default Port Number (8747)which it uses in association with the Internet IP Address Assigned.
In your case the IP Address is: 195.74.118.35
So if the administrator of the server has NOT changed the default Port Number, and/or the IP Address has not changed, you should be able to connect to the TS Server by connecting to:
195.74.118.35:8747
I have attempted this connection but am also informed that the server is offline.
You will need to confirm with the person/host who is maintaining the server as to whether any, or a combination of the following hasn't changed:
1. IP Address
2. Port Number
3. Is absolutely sure the TS Server is running.
I won't go into Traceroute with you, as I've managed to trace the route to the IP Address 195.74.118.35
This is an ADSL connection in the UK - It is a possibilty that the hoster of the TS Server has had his IP Address changed, or that he has changed the Port Number.
You will ofcourse find all this out when you confirm things with your TS Host.
i know for a fact that the ip is the listid in my previus post and that the server is running 24/7 (there is a link at our website that shows the status of the server.
as to the port - i added them and still nothing.
err if u have any more ideas heres my ICQ# 170943316
maybe we can get in a TS server and try to work this out right.
again thx.

I'm unsure as to whether Rider has asked the host personally about his account status Cstar_maxim.
In the meantime, I'm trying to determine if there are other causes to the issue.
I can't even connect to the server in question (I'm assuming the default port is being used by the TS Server, as this wasn't specified).
Rider - I'm unable to get anything from the Website given. Is this Website hosted by the same connection as the TS Server?
guys i have a registrated user in that server the user has changed in attempt to fix the problem.
im in constant connection with the host, and my pass is not changed.
as for the connection - as far as i know the host runs the site and TS server from a network of computers routered into a dsl connection.
Hi Guys
Thanks for the help your offering here, im the host that rider cant join, its wierd, the rest of my guys get in ts no probs, i have recreated his account, still no luck
Here is a link to my TS server
http://thedogsofwar.com/teamspeak/index.asp?contID=18
I am using what i thought was the default port, 8767, ealier in the thread you stated a different port ?
His account username is rider, his password is dow.
you should be able to join anonymous, but without voice rights, i know others can, Rider is the only one out of a group of over 20 that cant join
This is really doin my head in , thanks again for your help
Cstar_maxim
20-01-2003, 01:46
Well I can't join that server anony or as rider:dow
Ive just checked my logs, ive had loads of people in today, i really cant make this out.
Can you see it on the web?
http://thedogsofwar.com/teamspeak/index.asp?contID=18
Im gonna stay logged in TS all night, UK here, im bulldog, see if you can see me on above link - thx
I have made a new account user test, password test, can you try that, if it dont work im well and truly stumped, anyone any ideas, ive ran out:confused:

Steveg,
I'm slightly puzzled too.
I can only assume there is an issue with the IP shown on the website, for your TeamSpeak Server.
The IP Address shown, is an Internal (Private) IP Address - Which is NOT routable via the Internet.
My only assumtion is that TS isn't publising it's Internet (your ISP) IP Address whichc is causing the issue.
I am able to traceroute to the IP Address (195.74.118.35 - This given out in an earlier message).
Please could you re-confirm your IP Address.
Could you also let me know how many of the "successful" users are connecting both, via the Internet and from your Network (LAN)?
Hi Paul
Thanks again for your help, i apologise for the large post, but fel,t it necessary to show you my ts is working bout from the LAN and the internet.
I confirm my ip as 195.74.118.35 (static)Name Registered Lastupdate Logins Registered by
This ismy user login details, i am Bulldog, i connect via LAN
You can see that rider is registering as joining, but he dosnt get in !! everyone else seems to have no problems

I have to say I'm truely puzzled.
I've attempted to connecto the the IP you stated using the accounts specified in this thread.
rider, test, and anon
All of these are not connectable, as the error would indicate your sever is not online.
The error produced is the following:
[14:14:45] Connecting to 195.74.118.35
[14:14:48] No reply from server
Maybe the server is offline
or maybe teamspeak is not running on it
I am able to successfully ping and traceroute to the given IP Address.
I presume, although have yet to ask, so here goes - Have you restarted the TS Server service?
If not, give it a go!

HI!
I also tried to connect to your server, but "no server running"
So I want to point into the direction of firewall-settings or router configuration...
If the problem's still there join #Teamspeak on Quakenet and ask for help in there... (or just query [TS]SatanClaus or [TS]-SC-afk), I'll try to help you :)

if it were mey firewall, surely no-one would be able to get in, but im willing to try anything to get this sorted, ive rebooted my system - again, would you mind trying again, if now luck, please explain how to join this quaknet, i dont use irc, but now have it installed
thank you
well it seems to work now.
steve said he swaped the network cards or some thing
thank u all for ur help its apreacheated.

Glad to hear your back online.
If Steveg could provide a description, even if brief, as to his workaround/fix to the issue; That would benefit the TS Community for any potential pitfalls they encounter.
Im happy to post if it can help somebody else, you guys are great, thanks for all your help and advise.
I still dont know why it worked, it seemed a last resort, but here goes.
Before i explain, the thing that really gets me is the fact that everyone except Rider and the guys helping from the forums could get into TS, why the rest of my guys could always get in is a mystery.
OK my config, I run a windows 2000 server, which hosts my website, and TS server, which are both up 24/7, I am connected to the net via a ADSL connection using a router and 8 port hub.
My firewall is ISA server which requires 2 network cards, one pointing to the internet (external) and one for my internal LAN, which connects PCs in my kids bedrooms to the net
The fix i carried out was to simply swap round the NICs but i kept all ip addressing the same, strange I know, but it worked, i hope you can make something of it, because im still stumped, but hell its working
Thanks again to all concerned

Steveg,
Still puzzled here...Although I work in Network Security (well use to, out of work at the mo)....I've not used MS ISA Server (yet anyways) - I've had it for ages, but prefer a proven Firewall - Checkpoint FW-1
Anyways back to the point in question - <Scratches head> - Nope still can't make head nor tails of it.
This will bug me continiously now...!!!
Anyways glad to see things are working again!

LOL :-))
Yes I'm with a group that games with both Ghost Recon & Americas Army.
I'm moving from London to the Manchester Area (Glossop) on Thursday, so I'll be offline for a couple of weeks (as will our Website, and Email).
Once I'm back I'll look you up.
Feel free to visit our site, and game alongside us.
To get ahold of on of us at GrayWolf Rangers, it's best to connect to our TeamSpeak Server, which is a dedicated 24/7/365 (Dependant on ISP).
