I have noticed some people have an address for their server that isn't an IP.. For instance a free server I found awhile ago had their IP and port, as well as nickware.dnsalias.com:8767

I was wondering what this is called and how I can get one.
My server's IP is constantly changing as I have a router and I'm tired of telling all of my friends what the new IP is. It would be great to have an address like that I can tell them would never change.
Just a name would be great, then I can google the rest. Thanks!
Edit: *Scratch that. I think I found out how to get one. I just googled dnsalias and found www.dyndns.com but If anybody has more information about it I'd still love to know.*
