I can connect with a friend using TS by itself, but when I run my game (UT), I lose all game sound. If I do it the other way around, my TS input is muted and cannot be de-muted with the controls.

I checked the forums, and it said to click 'direct sound' to get around this. Here's the weird part, when I click it, and press apply or OK... it has changed back to .wav when I open the menu again.

Any advice please?

Jak

try to choose direct sound (and apply) then close teamspeak , restart and then see if it is still on direct sound.

try getting the latest drivers for your soundcard.

use atleast directx 8.1

Duh, I'm dense.

I've sorted it out... when i ordered my duplex-capable soundcard (the 840), my buddy "upgraded" me for free to the 850 card , assuming it had the same performance. Turns out, no duplex on the higher model, go figure. So, switched to cheaper card, things are fine.

Thanks for help anyway.
