TS and MS SQL - Why not?

Good afternoon,

I've bounced around these forums for a while now trying to find out why TS can't operate from MS SQL. I see a few threads where it apparently works fine with MySQL but very little is said about MS SQL other than it does not work.

Does anyone have a specific reason as to why it will not work other than a general hatred for Microsoft? :)

I'd like to tie the TS database to another database of users that I control, but that other database is MS.

I think the best way to put it, is MySQL is free and more simple, where as MsSQL isn't really free last time I saw.

could it be that the interface is different => TS only works with mySQL ?
