Hello all,
I just finished installing Teamspeak Server on my Linux computer. But im having problems connecting to it from another PC (Windows XP). Im positive its working fine, as I can connect to it from the linux computer (using the server adress of localhost:8767). The port for it is set to 8767, so if I wanted to connect to it from my windows PC (Its using the same internet connection as the server) it should be just my.ip.adress:8767 right? (Please correct me if im wrong) But this doesnt work i always get the error "No reply from server. Maybe the server is offline. or maybe teamspeak is not running on it" kind of thing. So then I tried doing 192.168.0.104:8767 (The private ip of the server) but the same error comes up. I have set up my router to accept connections on port 8767 and to forward them to my server. I would really like to get this set up soon.
Any help is greatly apreciated!

May I ask which flavour of linux you are running? When setting up your ts client you should not have to define your port so serverIP should be fine :) also keep in mind ts listens for UDP connections; so you will not be able to telnet serverIP 8767

Hello,
Thanks for the reply. Im running Fedora Core 4. The computer is also being used as a webserver to host me website. Could Apache be interfering with TeamSpeak?
Thanks a lot!

I suggest you check the following:

1. Is the server process running
2. Try shutting down the firewall and see if it makes a difference
3. Test your server from the following URL: http://ts2test.planetteamspeak.com/
4. Check that your client (winXP) firewall is not blocking the TS server or any ports. Try shutting it down.
5. Try reinstalling and use only default settings. Then repeat steps 1-4.
