View Full Version : problems with g15 and teamspeak
I've been using teamspeak now for around a year with no problems untill today. I just bought a g15 keyboard and now when i push a key to talk it no longer works. I've updated to the newest version of teamspeak, tryed remapping the push to talk key all with no luck. my mic is still working aswell so im unsure of the problem.
Make sure your keyboard doesn't have any drivers to download or something, because that could be a problem.
Right guys i have exactly the same problem,
I have been on the phone to logitech and they have had many ideas including deleting registry vicds deleting usb drivers and reinstalling, reinstalling drivers, reinstalling teamspeak, trying without drivers, and also clean boot reinstalling and removing drivers.
So more about the problem basically i use PTT the button i use is "v" and when i go into ts and go to select a button it will reconise what i have pressed and save it, goto press it to speak to mates and nothing...
So the odd thing is as soon as i unplug the g15 which is usb (btw this is a awesome keyboard) and restart with my bog standard ps2 the ptt button works fine...
Everything works on the g15 fine i can even priv msg ppl in ts, just wont let me transmit and also voice ativation wont work
Another thing i tried was to bind a button to my mouse which is not connected through the additinal usbs on the keyboard and that wont work either im really stumped
So please any suggestions would make me happy
Many thanks
you teamspeak experts must know what processes are used and done through PTT or have some idea what the solution to my problem is

I can't say I've ever heard of this issue before, and I haven't noticed any issues with keybinding on my G15 Keyboard - I don't use PTT, however, as I far prefer Voice Activation (which, when you set the sensitivity right is infinitely better than PTT).
I know there are some G15 mods for TeamSpeak (specifically a tool that will display who's talking, as well as server joins/leaves - and includes both mic and headset mute functions) - it's a long shot, but you might see if installing that mod gives you any performance increase on the PTT.
Alternately, I'd strongly recommend you forget PTT and go with voice activation. I have VOX setup with a keybinding (CTRL-SHIFT-Z) to toggle mute, so that if I DO need to talk to someone not on the server (my fiancee, my cats, etc) I can do a quick mute, then return to my teammates in a jiffy.
Setting VOX sensitivity just takes a little tinkering to find the right balance between whisper (small sounds activate voice) and shout (it takes loud noise to activate).
Please try this: Check the box "Disable Direct Input" in Settings->Options: Other
P.S.: Push to talk works great for me with my g15.
ill try that thomas also voice activation wont work either
