cant create server!!!

Hi, i have downloaded ts2_client_rc1_2026 and ts2_server_rc1_201831 and i have been a registered user.
Read the "TS2 Quick Tutorial Client and Admin". form www.Completronics.com
And run XP on my pc, CMI8738/C3DxPCI AUDIO DEVICE, game soldier of fortune II double helix with the all the updates, and i can conect to other TS servers.
But i cant create my own server.
I type in label + server address + nick + check in allow server to assign nick + check in registered + login name + password + check in auto-reconnect, the rest is blank.
But Every time i try to conet/create my server, it says "error" "connection reset by peer".
"mabye there is no server running".
I dont no what to do now, i have been "activation" my account
i thing that is all the info. i have......... I hope that somebody can give me some real help.

First of all those fields to specified are in the client program not the server. You must start a server in order to connect to it.

Have you installed the server software and run it following the instuctions at end of install and the readme file?

Okay when you start the server can you see the icon in the system tray and does it show the IP's for the server?

Yes there is my network ip and my internet ip under ”your ip´s”

If both Server and Client is on same computer try this : connect to your server using IP 127.0.0.1

That is good, now i can create a server but, nobody can connect to me?
If my frind try to make A server like that, i can connect to him!
But he cant connect to me?, is it because i use a router.

probably: you use a router which means be 95 % you have a NAT access. In this case read that FAQ (forward the default port 8767 to your server IP) !
