Hello all,
I'm new to this forum and I have a Thompson SpeedTouch router, and no one can connect to my server :( I heard that I have to foward my ports, uisng UDP I think I did that, hmm actually it's hard, when I do it says unable to apply changes via NAPT :(
My IP is: 84.68.98.198:8767
Someone said to me, you can not use a router beause it doesn't recieve 100% packets...
Is there a way people can connect to my server using a Thompson speedtouch 545 router?
thanks for any help
regards
karim
This is not a router forum.

No, I have fowarded my ports (Well I think I have) I have read that website, fowarded my ports via NAPT, and I used protocal UDP to foward the 8767, still aint working no on can join my server for TeamSpeak!
Instead of wasting time can I foward my ports, so people can connect to my server using a "Thompson SpeedTouch 545" router!
Look here, for some reason the "state" is not "LISTEN" it's "NONE"
What can I do!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I turned my firewall off, etc still ain't damm working.
This is how it goes via my router configuration page:
Protocal: (TCP or UDP)
Inside IP: (Would this be my Internal IP address: 10.0.0.8 Inside Port:(Would it be 8767?)
Outside IP:(Would this be my external IP address? Outside port:(Would it be 8767?)
which is 84.68.98.198
It won't allow me to apply changes if
I typed that in as "Outside IP" It's default is 0.0.0.0
help please

Well, find out when you are sure when you have forwarded the ports correctly.
Also, I really think you need some general networking knowledge... If I was you, I would not even start the process of running a server until you figure out what the following lingo: LAN, WAN, port, IP, firewall, router, hub, modem.. I prolly left some things out.
I'm sorry, but taking wild guesses at things and then asking if they are right or wrong is going to get you no where.
It shouldnt take you long to shoot into wikipedia to get a quick run-down.
