ok i downloaded ts server and all that and i have no problems connecting and no one else has problems connecting but when me or anyone else talks it only works for a split second and then stops transmitting and after this happens you have to wait like a few minutes before it will give you another split second. and it also boots peeps durring geek out period once in a while. I have scoured the forums and only saw one similar post but everyone that reply'd to it got spun off the problem and into a unrealated discussion without helping the person making the post.
I can't be the only person that has this problem someone help me pls

ok i forgot to mention that the person at the talking end percieves no problemthe green light next to name stays lit and seems to work just fine. It is at the recieving end the person who is listening only see's the green light for a split secong and only hears a split secong of speach which is usually nothing cause the person at the talking end hasnt started talking yet in the small amount of time it works.

The reason why you might not get any answers on such a question is simple. Since all witches were burned and fortune-telling has become something for poorwitted people, nobody can work magic anymore and create solid answers out of thin air.

In other words, while you describe your problem in clear words, you leave pretty much everything open.
- What kind of up/downspeed do you have?
- Do you use a router?
- are you hosting the server on the same computer as you client?
- why are you posting server-related questions in the client forum?
- what kind of connections do those other people have?
- Does the client work for you on a different server?
- Does the server work the server when all the clients are in the same LAN
- Do you have a firewall software which could cause problems?
- Do you use anti-spyware software which could cause problems?
- Do you know anything about computers (no offense meant, just asking) or don't you have a clue about what you are doing?
- Does local loopback test work for you and for the other clients?
- Does everyone using the server live in the same country or on different continents?
- Can the other clients ping your server (presumably they can) and what ping do they get?
- Is there any packetloss?
- ...

That should give you an idea. Otherwise, it would be plain guessing and no wonder that people suddenly start talking about the weather rather then about the problem you are encountering.

no anti spiware
yes i understand computers and ofcourse have eleminated the obvious and most of the unobvious
dont know if other can ping my server or not but i am sure they can i will check it out later and see

I was hoping that is was a common problem and someone would just know what it was by reading it

Well, after having ruled out all the "obvious" things and made sure that it isn't a simple bandwidth issue, it does become a lot more difficult.

For some reasons, the dataflow seems to be majorly crippled resulting in the voice not getting transmitted and players getting kicked (removed due to not answering).

Do you have more than one IP address or even more than once NICs? The Teamspeak server doesn't usually have problems with such environments but some very obscure problem might result in the TS server not knowing where to listen for data (maybe try to bind the server to an IP. This is an option in the ini file).

Another idea would be that the server is for some reason trying to use a port which is already in use (however that should result in an error message).

Do you have any tool for monitoring network traffic? It might be interesting to see where the data is going.

If you do have the option, maybe try to host the server on a different computer in your LAN and try again.

Last but not least, try connecting to your server using 127.0.0.1 (loopback) rather than an IP and test if you get the same problem.

Also check if you get any unusual cpu load for the server (it should consume next to no cpu time when runing normaly)

Other than that, i wouldn't know what to try either.

As Judas said.. I would go with a dedicated server route..

On your computer, have nothing else running. No TS client, no games, nothing. Just the ts server. test it that way.

What's your computer specs? DX updated? frimware updated?

first of all i do apreciate your effort in answering my post and trying your best to help me:)
ok trying to answer your questions
Ok i have one ip and also have lan ip from router. I have the 3 ports for server all forwarded to me even though i only really need 1 to make the server itself function. That part of it seems to be in order so i have rulled it out.
I havent tried to bid it to server i did check into that a bit but havent tried it yet.
I dont have software to check network traffic but yes it would be interesting.
i have no way to see if port is allready in use.
i have checked cpu usage and at most ts peaks at 2% usage and have also done full cpu usage and nothing. Nothing using any cpu.
I think it is possible i have a virus of some sort even though my virus software is good cause i tried to ping someone from the command prompt in dos mode by typing ping url. The command didnt work returned an error. It said that "c:\windows/system32/ping.com is not a valid win32 application" and asked me to click ok but, the funny thing is that when i click the ok button it comes up in the dos window "access is denied". Strange this command has allways worked for me in the past. I am going to try ts on my girlfriends computer and if it works i will format and start over. Its been a while it couldnt hurt.
thanks
