Hello, my friends teamspeak works fine until he runs Warcraft III in full screen. Usually in a few minutes the computer restarts. Teamspeak and Warcraft III seem to conflict with his computer.

I've already suggested clear the 'Automatically Restart' check box in the System Failure section. Did not help at all.

- He can use Teamspeak fine with Warcraft III minimized.
- His computer restarts within minutes after Warcraft III is maximized with Teamspeak.

He uses
Realtek AC97 Audio

Any suggestions?

This does sound like a driver issue. As soon as TS and Warcraft III start trying to access the sounddriver at the same time, something goes seriously wrong. This doesn't have to be though. An update of the sounddrivers and the latest directx version might solve this. Otherwise, try changing the sound-settings in teamspeak (ie. use "wave")

Alright I overlooked that. Thanks!

Now...
He installed different drivers and it doesn't restart his computer anymore. However, 10 minutes in the game, his sound stops working, and his screen starts blinking every 1 to 5 seconds. When he turned off teamspeak, all went back to normal.
Any solutions for that?

Basicly it is still a driver problem. Searching the forum for AC97 does bring up a hell lot of hits (and thats not only because this is a very common on-board sound solution).

However, changing from direct sound to wave (or the other way around) might still help. This option can be found somewhere in the teamspeak options.

Another solution would be to try a different soundcard (could be a very cheap/old one if availalbe). You could then try to use the AC97 as your normal soundcard while Teamspeak can be configured to use the additional soundcard. This should greatly reduce the risk of conflicts as each application would use a different soundcard. However, that is only an option should everything else fail or if there is already a second soundcard available without having to spend money on it.

heck, go for a SB card if you go with another sound card..
