Hi,

I'm having a lot of trouble with with the microphone input. My microphone works perfectly for sound recorder and other windows applications however for team speak all I (and the other members on teamspeak) hear is a horrible crackling fuzzy mess.

I've tried every single possible combination of input settings (all different devices, and every codec) but still no success.

Any ideas?

Note: everything else is working fine; I can connect to the server correctly, and listen to other people just fine. The mic is certainly providing some sort of input since it does make a noise (all be it a horrible one) when I hold down "push to talk" button and say stuff.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

As a side note, is there any way to completely reset all TS settings? - I've tried reinstalling, but the old settings to be saved.

I'm assuming I've not given enough details:

* TeamSpeak version: 2.0.32.60
* Operation System: Windows XP ; latest service patch
* Soundcard & Driver version: Creative 5.12.1.315 Sound Blaste Live! 24-bit
* Game: Irrelevant since problem persists whether or not game is running
* DirectX Version: latest
* Error message: N/A
* How often does the error appear: Always
* What did you try to fix the problem?: messed around with the settings

Many thanks

Th FAQ mentions a file hidden file "Teamspeak.conf"

- did you tested wave or direct sound in TS ?
- you already tested the various sound devices (if available in TS) ?
- whyt if you use the locale loopback test mode in TS, do you hear yourself clear ?
