Am not that good with finding out what might of happened but a random guy came in and his name was SiCk i could not click on his name or right click it would give me an error, Then he came back in with server admin and stated taking everyones SA away and unregistering them. Lucky enough i shut the server down enough to where he could not do any big damage. Is this a bug with teamspeak 2? Am looking around forums for a fix. I ended up locking down our teamspeak server until i find a fix.

I would like to back up his point, i am having the same problem with hackers coming in with random SA privilages and screwing up the server, i did security modifications (strong passwords and such), but they are coming back, and when they do come back, they somehow or another make themselves invisible in TS, and the only way for me to then get them off the server is to shut it down, which CANNOT happen forever, as my clan I am in is highly competitive and needing the Teamspeak

I got the Beta file that they released the server_windows file and it updated the server files from Version:
2.0.20.1

to

2.0.22.3

This might help its in the teamspeak downloads but in BETA had no problems. Haven't seen a hacker come in yet but if it happens again ill let you know. Maybe ill have someone take screenshots of the error message and what he does.

if you see an invisible player join your non beta servers simply drop and reconnect...

you will then be able to see this fool and ban his can! Dont forget to maybe throw a wildcard on the end of the ip ban like 192.162.0.* so if he resets his modem its less likely he will be able to rejoin.

I hope this helps because I had an issue just yesterday with it and others could see him, but i couldnt... I then thought ok I will recconnect then adn before he dropped I had him banned!!!

OK, We have the newest one and still having the hacking problem. This guy is going invisable and typing crap to us. We ban the IP, but he comes right back.

Several Questions:

1. How can we find his user info. The nickname changes, but the registration has to be the same.

2. Is there any thing that can be done to add additional security to our TS server?

Well i created a Guest lounge and set all the privages so they cont move and we have to give them voice to talk. Works pretty good they just leave because they can't move to different channels and stuff plus i have my spam setting on. so if they do 4 ts commands in less then 5 seconds they get kicked for spamming.

Are you 100% sure? Click on the server when connected and have a look what it says under "Version:", it should be "2.0.22.3", I am almost certain that it won't show that if you still have problems with "invisible" user, because this bug was definatly fixed.
To find information about users you could use the tcpquery interface (or one of the tools using it). I hear the TS-Admin Client is quite decent for people that like to click instead of type.

Maybe there are diferent ways of going invisable?
