I have tryed almost everything...

I cant figure it out, i have tried w/ vent to, so its not just TS. I can connect to my server through my LAN ip: 192.168.2.25. But cannot by my WAN IP: 68.***.***.**. Now I have a Linksys WRTG54 Router and I have it set to Gateway Mode, and DHCP Enabled. I have Forwarded the pors right and everything. All I have on my CPU is a Windows Firewall, which i have turned off. I have a Desktop CPU running Windows XP Media Center Edition. And I just dont know what I am doing wrong. Someone Please Please help me.

Also I do Not have "Block Anonymous Internet Requests" Enabled
All VPN on my router are Enabled. The security is Disabled.
My router Version is 1.1

If you need any more info to help me, please just leave a message, I really appreciate any help I can get with this

YOU can not connect to your servers WAN IP. You must use the servers LAN IP.

actually, i have no problems connecting with my WAN ip ... seeing as the connection will just go

Comp -> Router -> modem -> ISP -> Modem -> Router -> Comp

its just a waste of bandwidth doing that

All i can suggest is the windows firewall is getting in the way, or you haven't set up port forwarding properly, or your modem is blocking ports

surely not ! most of routers won't allow to connect via you WAN ip. It's not because it worked for you that it should work for everyone :rolleyes: . it' been said about a thousand time on these forums, and of course in the faq (http://www.goteamspeak.com/index.php?page=faq&id=4&item=25#q25)

Well then how would you connect to your webserver, i cant use an IP to connect to it, it has to be a URL so if i couldnt connect to my WAN IP i wouldnt be able to do anything on it

Anyway, i checked and i can infact connect to my TS server through my WAN IP, however its very pointless, as its a complete waste of bandwidth

Well then how would you connect to your webserver, i cant use an IP to connect to it, it has to be a URL so if i couldnt connect to my WAN IP i wouldnt be able to do anything on it

given that a url links to an ip ... ... ... btw, to connect to ur web server, you can click the icon in the traybar and click administration (or something like that, don't host my server for a while), or type http://localhost/slogin.html (which looks like something local :rolleyes: )

I'm talking about a web server, not a Team speak server there

if i connect with the URL, then i get my main page, if i do http://my.ip.goes.here then i get "This IP address is shared. For access to the web site which you look for, enter its address instead of its IP."

because i can host multiple websites off 1 web server, with many URL's, if you could connect to the web server with the IP, how would it know which site you want ?

i was just using the webserver as an example for somone being able to connect to their own WAN IP
