Hi all!

I have the following problem. I install Mandrake 9.0 and choose the oss driver from Mandrake, because with the alsa-driver I cant get teamspeak to work.
With the oss-driver I must open teamspeak again and again to get the lovely voice-sound that I have connect. Sometimes I must change between /dev/dsp or oss /dev/dsp to get the sound. But I can speak from the first time. Only hearing my gamepartner didnt work at the first time.
What is the problem?
I have a soundblaster live player 5.1, but it works great with all other sounds like xmms, kde or games like urbanterror...

Thanks for your help!

Regards,
Dieter

I am also running Mandrake 9, with the default drivers oss /dev/dsp/. Soundblaster Live

Teamspeak loads NP, and I can join the channels I want. I can hear what is going on in the channels but can't speak. My mic is not muted in TS and I can hear my own voice through the Headset but the others in the channel can't.

Oh conside me a n00b, as I have just started with Linux. Please explain like I am a child, I won't take offence ;).

Hi!

Take a look at aumix. You find it where the multimedia programms are. Make shure that the mic-button is red. When I dont have a red button for the mic it doesnt work.
Try it out ;-)

Thank you for the help, the mic was red but I played with some of the other settings, turns out the IGain seems to make it work, what ever that does :) Thank you for the Help.
