I am not new to TS, but I am new to creating my own server/channel.

First of all I am not sure if the game I am trying to use TS with will work, which is Guild Wars. So I'll get that out of the way now.
I have looked over the tutorials for creating a channel, but I think i missed something somewhere. I want to create my own server/channel with a password on it, and I'm still not sure how. I was able to use a server called 'TeamSpeak Server'..but was not able to talk on it, as well as was not able to set a password for it. (tried but anyone was able to come in)

Any help is appreciated. Thanks. -KM-

First off, Where did you get your teamspeak server from? and does your welcome email say anything about a teamspeak admin panel which you can login via the link in your email because there is alot of control web based so you need to find that out.

Well if you would like a channel I am happy to let you have one in my server which you can password if you wish, I have a 40 slot teamspeak but I only use a few of them so you are welcome to use it if you want.

ok, cool, thanks alot. that would help me out, gives me somewhere to start for sure. How do we get this started?

And just so I know, for future refence, do I have to buy my own server to use? Or is there free servers people can use and add passwords to?
