Whenever i open TS my lovely Speedlink Medusa ProGamer 5.1 headset stops giving out all the bass it does when not on TS and the centre/rear speakers become redundant, so its like using a normal stereo headset again? Tried everything in all settings of both headset and TS, anyone got any ideas?

I have the same Problem, too. WoW is so nice with 5.1 sound. But when starting TS the sound gets back to stereo.

Well, if I were to take an educated guess I'd assume that your driver is doing some manipulation of DirectSound to create 5.1 sound effects in your headset (since you only have 2 speakers to work with).
Since TeamSpeak is also using DirectSound, it's taking over and "flattening" your 5.1 emulation.
The only fix I can think of would be to change TeamSpeak from DirectSound to WAV.
Sry, i gave not enough infos.
I use the Medusa 5.1 HS. And my SC is a 5.1 from terratec.
I searched the net a bit and found a possible solution.
On my SC is a jumper i should try. I did and there is a surroundsound in wow.
But i'm gonna try your tip too.
Anyway, thx ;)
Further Testing:
That Jumper i mentioned was only an amp for headsets.
I can now say that TS is not actually taking out the 5.1 Sound, but it's reducing the soundlevels to a minimum.
I tested today the new WMP11 with an MP3 file.
Wohoo, didn't now, that my Headset had such an bass (vibrating).
Starting TS for testingissues (only start, no connection to a server!), soundlvl's went to minimum and my bassvibro was disabled.
Ending TS and everything has got back to normal.
Changed wave and DX driver, try'ed every possible combination TS can give. Same.
TS also disturbes Quicktime-Movies and Streams. This bug was mentioned earlier.
Lowering process prio to lowest didn't help either.
