Hrm.. okay, well i am behind a Linksys router,

im having problems connecting to my own server.

(i can connect fine using localhost) - but i want others to connect so im trying it out with the IP to make sure,

Also, im using a no-ip.com account and its not connecting through that either..

anyone have any ideas :)

i ran http://ts2test.planetteamspeak.com/ this..

» Establish a connection with the server ERROR 3
» Verify that it is a TeamSpeak 2 server ERROR 3
» Perform connection handshake ERROR 3
» Retreive a list of active channels ERROR 3

Performing TCP test...
» Establish a connection with the server ERROR 1
» Verify that it is a TeamSpeak 2 server ERROR 1
» Retreive the servers global information ERROR 1

Performing HTTP test...
» Establish a connection with the server ERROR 1
» Verify that it is a TeamSpeak 2 server ERROR 1
» Retreive the servers version information ERROR 1

got that....

port 8767 is forwarded using UDP....

Also forgot to mention, i am NOT using a firewall, my windows firewall has been temporarly disabled for testing this =)

Generic "my friends/users can't connect" checklist:

1) Are they connecting to your WAN address (www.whatismyip.com)
2) Are the ports forwarded from your rotuer to the TeamSpeak Server on your LAN? (www.portforward.com)
3) Have you made an exception for Inbound UDP traffic on port 8767 in your software firewall(s)? This includes the Windows Firewall which is ON by default in Windows XP SP2
4) Is the server running? (test by connecting to it yourself)

sure am!
"Also, im using a no-ip.com account and its not connecting through that either.." which does infact pick up your WAN IP

2) Are the ports forwarded from your rotuer to the TeamSpeak Server on your LAN?

yep! port 8767 is forwarded using UDP....

Now i realize since you just copy and pasted that, you probably didnt read the message... which is understandable, Jackasses like yourself usually just tend to skip through things and just assume they are right.

Anways... anyone with any real theories of what is wrong?

Good luck getting any help when you declare people jackasses for trying.

Many people with similar problems find that their problem is solved by one of the above

As WolfStar76 said, good luck finding someone to help you if your going to call people names

No, but when they dont try and just do a copy and paste of something that obviously doesnt help, if you had read my message instead of just assuming maybe it would have been different =)

I have the same problem, I have a DLink DGL4300 and have all the required ports forwarded to the required system. I have no software firewalls (yes even the windows one is disabled), I can connect to the server via my LAN, but no one can connect over the internet. I used Teamspeak 2 connection test (http://ts2test.planetteamspeak.com) and get the following:

Performing UDP test...
» Establish a connection with the server Failed
» Verify that it is a TeamSpeak 2 server Failed
» Perform connection handshake Failed
» Retreive a list of active channels Failed

Performing TCP test...
» Establish a connection with the server Passed
» Verify that it is a TeamSpeak 2 server Passed
» Retreive the servers global information Passed

Performing HTTP test...
» Establish a connection with the server Passed
» Verify that it is a TeamSpeak 2 server Passed
» Retreive the servers version information Passed

I have my router set up to forward UDP on the default port of 8767 (Server is set up with that). Any suggestions?

Open Your firewall for incoming UDP connections on that port.

Open Your firewall for incoming UDP connections on that port.

Yup, BiggyB - Yuo have opened the 2 optional ports (51234 and 14534 or whatever - makes your server more open to attack aswell!!) - Close them and open UDP 8767
