A couple days ago, I tried to log onto my guild's Teamspeak server, and up until then there has been 0 issues with it. Now when I try to connect, nothing happens and I get this error:

[09:50:26] No reply from server
Maybe the server is offline
or maybe teamspeak is not running on it

The server is most definitely up and running, I know for a fact it works. I seem to be the only one having problems with it! I'm on campus internet, but I use a router. The IP addresss of the server I'm trying to connect to is 70.86.169.210:8979, so I even opened port 8979, and then I read that ports 8765 and 8766 are what ports TS used, so I opened those too (UPD/TCP of all three). I have my Windows firewall disabled and the firewall on my router disabled. I can connect to other servers but not this one, I can't even ping it.

I set it in Debug mode and I got this log:

---------------------------------------------------------------
-------------- log started at 13-11-06 09:35 -------------

13-11-06 09:50:26,1304,ERROR,ProcedureInfo,Client Open,Exception: Timeout on recv LoginStep2 wait

I'm running out of ideas and need help bad!

i would also like to say i am having the exact same problem
i know the TS server is working cause i can see it filled with people on our Website

second window down on the left side

http://oc.slackuser.com/

i get a similar error to the guy above me
i noticed this problem start on the 9th or 10th of November

heres the LogFile

at first i thought a hop between me and the server was down and causing me to be unable to connect but i did a succesful TraceRoute
i though it maybe was my Router as well
or My Firewall so i disabled my firewall and bypassed my router to no success

i have used TeamSpeak for years with no problems
i am very distressed by this problem
after seeing the guy above me post the exact same issue
i know its unlikely its an isolated incident on my end

so please get back to me with possible solutions

Thank You

ok waited 2 days and still have not got an answer with over 70 Views

i have tryed to ponder a reason why it will not work and i have come up blank
heres a list of things i have tried so far

items are in no order

(1) disabled my Internal Software FireWall

(2) totally took the router off my network and routed the Nic Directly into the Cable Modem and the Rebooted comp and tried again

(3) deleted the Teamspeak Folder and Tried to install the latest Version "ts2_client_rc2_2032.exe"

(4) tried it on both my other Comps (i have 3 on my Network)

(5) did a successful TraceRoute to the Server "ts3.ecgnetwork.com:8835"

(6) Verified the Server was still running Via Looking at the Web Page "http://oc.slackuser.com/" second Panel down on the Left Side

(7) tried to connect to various servers using the Web Server List Tab under COnnections
the list works and i can see how many people are on each server
but when i double click to join i get the Same Error

(8) I DUNNO WHAT ELSE TO DO!!!!!!!!!

I have the same problem, yet my friends can all connect without issues. None of my settings have changes and all my windows updates were done before I started having trouble, yet the trouble started the exact same day as you. No client updates so I don't know whats wrong.

Even with disabling my firewall I still cannot connect. It worked fine when I first downloaded it. I was able to use it twice. Then I tried to go on and I got that same error.

Anyone figure this issue out yet? It kinda dampens the mood to donate any money to a project when it doesn't work for you. :-/

Same issue.
Checked my hardware and software firewalls, and my antivirus. Uninstall and reinstalled ts.

Is this being addressed yet?

OK I figured out the issue
it's a matter of the buffer on your sound device.

More then likely I'm guessing this is an issue that affects people using two sound devices.

Change your preferences specifically to a certain device, or just change it to the primary sound selection windows uses.

See if that resolves your issue. It did for me.

(sorry about the delay, I got on ts and was playing games until I realized that I should probably post the fix on here for you all ;D )

Still having the issue. I set my sound device and everything. Even my friend who runs the server, went through the facts and bound the ip address. I still can't connect. In fact, I can't connect to any server.

Will this issue ever be addresses?

I know some other people have been making posts and it's been replied that the issue has been addressed, but I haven't found it yet. Anyone know where the supposed post of how to fix this issue is?

Im afraid i would have to disagree. ive found that restarting my router clears up the Timeout on recv LoginStep2 wait problem for one person, while causing it for me. When i can't connect to my own server when it is 2 hops away i get concerned....

I have the same problem. I have allowed TS2 through my firewalls, and my friends seem to make it without problems. I have tried to connect to two diffrent servers, but it doesn't work. The most disturbing part is: it has worked before! My internet is connected directly into my computer, and I'm using ADSL (if that helps).
Please be aware of that I am pretty slow when it comes to this kind of thing, I'm not an expert. =) If you could please post a short guide about how to tackle this problem I will spread it in your name. :P
